Job Description

  • This position will primarily support the procurement and supplier management of Information Technology (IT) products (hardware, software) and services mainly for India and in support of enterprise wide agreements.  There may be requirements to support other non-production procurement commodities and activities across the globe.
  • The successful candidate will: 
• Demonstrate fundamental contract and relationship management skills, with proven experience at all phases of the procurement cycle for IT projects and commodities at all project phases.
• Provide oversight  and proactive management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial  performance
• Lead the negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions with full competency for India contracts. Will assist with contracts originating from the United States.
• Prepare, develop and execute negotiation strategies that result in year-over-year cost savings to Boeing, contractual documents and binding agreements
• Lead cross functional teams to resolve supplier performance issues and support the development of strategic supplier solutions.
• Lead supply chain process improvement teams to identify improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies 
• Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
• Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
  • This position may require international travel.  Note that our procurement team is spread across the world, which may require supporting virtual meetings outside normal work hours.

  • Manages priorities for delivery of products, services and data.
  • Leads the development of cross functional solutions to issues.
  • Works with internal and external customers to formalize and implement procurement requirements via creative and effective contracting approaches
  • Leads proposal analyses and develops negotiation strategies.
  • Leads the supplier negotiation process.
  • Negotiates all elements of the contract.
  • Prepares and executes negotiated documents for India entity, coordinates with US team on contracts assigned to US legal entity.
  • Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Manages contract terminations (i.e. transitions, wind down, etc.).
  • Develops and implements contract/subcontract management plans for new business acquisition.
  • Leads or participates in proposal analysis to fulfill customer and program strategic requirements.
  • Leads suppliers and stakeholders in the development of risk, issue and opportunities management plans.
  • Communicates across functions and programs to manage risks, issues and performance to plan.
  • Manages or leads cross functional teams to deploy improved processes, systems and tools.
  • Leads program and project reviews.
  • Provides market and peer benchmarking insight and actionable data to integrate into current and future contracting and supply base strategies.
  • Manages and analyzes supplier performance.
  • Provides direction to suppliers to improve performance and ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Manages supplier import and export regulatory requirements.
  • Participates on import and export compliance teams.
  • Works across functions to implement continuous improvement plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is a must with Experience in Supplier Management of 5-9 yrs Experience in IT Procurement,  Experience in IT Project Management Is preferred.
